Cherokee Gives Back is pleased to have received funding from the JM Kaplan Fund to establish an exciting initiative focusing on education and advocacy to inform and inspire the general public to utilize sustainable products and practices in daily living.
Speaking Tour
To launch the program in 2010, we sponsored a speaking tour featuring William McDonough, a world-renowned architect and designer specializing in sustainable building and design. Click here to read Mr. McDonough’s full bio.
Topics included urban design, “ecological intelligence,” sustainable products and brownfield redevelopment, including Cradle to Cradle Design concepts as explained in the 2002 book Cradle to Cradle: Remaking the Way We Make Things by William McDonough and Michael Braungart.
The Cherokee Gives Back Blog includes posts on important environmental topics and highlights additional blogs to further inform and engage its readers.
