“The use of traveling is to regulate imagination by reality, and instead of thinking how things may be, to see them as they are.”
– Samuel Johnson
Our staff takes into consideration your preferences and skills as well as the needs of our partner organizations and businesses to match you with your placement and guide your involvement through the Cultural Awareness and Leadership Program. Once you have applied, you will be able to read more detailed organizational profiles and speak to alumni about their experiences with our partners to get an even better idea of how you will be engaged. We also work with your placement to produce a project plan articulating your expected activities and deliverables.
How We Select Our Partners
Our partners must work in one of our deliberately broad areas of interest: poverty alleviation or the environment. We rely on recommendations from our network of local leaders to identify organizations with strong leadership and effective programs.
